Website accessibility remediation

Accessibility fixes that live in your code.

Alexibility finds the barriers on your website, fixes them on the platform you already use, and re-tests every fix. When the work is done, the fixes are yours to keep.

WCAG 1.1.1Re-tested: passesReviewed by a specialist
Why not an overlay

An overlay changes each visit. We change the site.

An overlay is a script that rewrites your pages in each visitor's browser after they load. Your code stays as it was, so the problems come back when the script fails, loads late or gets cancelled, and visitors who rely on their own screen reader often find the toolbar in their way.

How it works

Scan, fix, then prove it

Scan

We test your pages in a real browser with automated WCAG checks, a keyboard walk-through and a phone-width test. Results are grouped by component, so one broken header counts as one fix, however many pages it appears on.

Fix

Our tools write the changes into your site: alt text into your media library, labels into your templates, colors into your theme. A specialist reviews every change, and it goes to a staging copy before your live site.

Prove

We test the fixed pages again and give you a record for each WCAG criterion: what was wrong, what changed and how we checked it.

How the process works in detail

What changes on your site

The fixes we make most often

Every image described

Our tools draft alt text for each image that needs it. A specialist checks every description before it goes into your media library or templates, and images that are only decoration are marked so screen readers skip them.

Colors that pass, close to your brand

When text fails contrast, we calculate the nearest color with the same hue that reaches 4.5:1 and change it where it is defined. Light gray #bbbbbb on white becomes #767676.

Names for icon buttons

Search icons, cart buttons and unlabeled fields get names a screen reader can announce.

Focus you can see

We find the CSS that hid the keyboard focus outline and bring it back.

A record you can show

For each WCAG criterion you get what we found, what changed and how it was tested. Procurement teams ask for it, and so do lawyers answering demand letters.

Skip links and page language

Two small template changes that help keyboard and screen reader users on every page.

Platforms

Works on the platform you already have

Your site stays where it is. We fix WordPress from a plugin, Shopify on a copy of your theme and custom code through pull requests. On closed builders such as Squarespace, a specialist works in the editor.

WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA criteria can be tested automatically at all, and automated tools can only find failures, never confirm a pass. A specialist tests the rest with a keyboard and screen readers.

Fixed prices from your scan

A remediation project is priced from the number of fixes your scan found and the platform you use, so the price follows the work. Scans are free.

Questions people ask first

Will this make my site ADA compliant?

No one can honestly promise that from a scan. We fix what we find, re-test it, and document the results against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That record is what you show a regulator, a procurement officer or a lawyer.

Do you install a widget on my site?

No toolbar and no script that rewrites your pages. On WordPress, our plugin adds a small "Accessibility by Alexibility" link in the footer, which you can switch off.

My site is on Squarespace or Wix. Can you still help?

Yes. A specialist makes the fixes in the site editor, and where the builder cannot express a fix we add a small documented script. You get a list of every fix that depends on it.

What happens to the fixes if we stop working together?

They stay. The alt text, labels, colors and template changes are part of your site, not a service we switch on for you.

What do you need from us?

Access that matches your platform: a WordPress admin account, a Shopify collaborator account, or your Git repository. If a firewall blocks our scanner, we tell you exactly what to allowlist.
